NewsDataHub is designed as a production-grade API. Reliability, stability, and backward compatibility are treated as first-class concerns.

This page outlines our high-level approach to availability, monitoring, and change management.

Monitoring & Detection

We continuously monitor our infrastructure and public API endpoints to detect issues early and respond quickly.

At a high level, monitoring focuses on:

API availability and responsiveness
Server-side errors (HTTP 5xx)
Anomalies in request patterns or error rates

When abnormal behavior is detected, incidents are investigated and mitigated promptly to restore normal operation.

Availability Targets

Operational uptime target: 99.9%
Historical uptime: 99.95%+
Formal SLAs: Available for Enterprise plans only

Standard plans do not include contractual SLA guarantees. Enterprise customers may negotiate formal availability and support commitments as part of their agreement.

Uptime is measured at the API level from the user’s perspective.

Incident Response

When incidents occur, our priorities are:

Restore service
Identify root cause
Apply corrective actions to reduce recurrence

The goal is not only recovery, but long-term system stability.

API Stability & Backward Compatibility

API stability is a core design principle.

We do not introduce breaking changes to existing fields or response structures.

New fields may be added over time.

All changes and additions are documented in the changelog and official documentation.

This ensures existing integrations continue to function without unexpected behavior changes.

Documentation reflects current, supported behavior
